“A
strong creation of intense character.…”
- The Stage
Biography
I
have
always been fascinated with the workings of theatre and
performance. There’s always been questions to answer.
On my quest for these answers, I’ve been a technician,
an academic, scenographer and designer but the closest
I’ve got to any sembance of balance has been now
as an overall performaing artist (what I’ve always
wanted to do, really)...
What
I’ve learned along the way is that it’s all
in the doing...that pursuit of creativity. For me, that
means creating compelling and engaging characters (and
Worlds) that really tell a story, whilst underneath those
same questions continue to rage...
As
an actor and voice over artist, I’ve worked in a
diverse range of performance fields from physical theatre
to classical Shakespeare, straight drama and site specific
performance. In 2010, whilst I was‘between jobs’,
I was wondering what to do next when I came across a collection
of H.P. Lovecraft’s weird horror fiction. Taking
the book, I decided to grab my fate by the horns and began
to adapt Lovecraft’s seminal work, The Call
of Cthulhu, for the stage. Later that year,
I took Cthulhu to The Edinburgh Fringe and...people
seemed to like it! Since then I’ve been developing
this flavour of 'dark theatre' continuing to write, produce
and perform in my own work, extending my Lovecraft adaptations
and working on other original ideas for the stage. I am
also an Associate Artist with Harrogate
Thetare...
Alongside
my solo work, I also look forward to working with other
companies on professional projects whether in live or
recorded media. You can view my

of recent work. For a fuller list, please feel free to

of my voice-over work. Do have a listen and a look around
and...if you'd like, feel free to drop me a line via email
for a chat...
